Frances Ann (Ahl) Johnson, the daughter of Howard and Beatrice (Cully) Ahl, was born October 23, 1949, in Olivia, Minnesota. She attended school in Bird Island, Minnesota, along with her five siblings. While he was working at a gas station, Frances met the love of her life, Marcus Johnson. The two were united in marriage on April 15, 1967, in Bird Island and were blessed with three children, Jonathon, Jodi, and Jeffery. They raised their family in Litchfield.
Frances worked at a variety of jobs throughout the years including Jennie-O, 3M, Video Cinema, Minnesota Rubber, and Innovex/LPC. In her free time, she loved to quilt and do craft projects in addition to watching her favorite programs on TV. Playing bingo was a favorite as well. What mattered most to Frances, however, was to share what she had with those around her whether that be her famous baked goods including banana bread, pumpkin bars, and rhubarb crisp, her sage advice, and her loving personality. She spoke well of others and always offered to help anyone she could. Being kind was important, and came naturally, to her. Frances loved her family, including her beloved dog Molly, wholeheartedly and made sure they knew it.
Frances is survived by her husband of 55 years, Marcus Johnson of Litchfield; children, Jonathon Johnson, Jodi Johnson, and Jeffery (Heidi) Johnson, all of Litchfield; grandchildren, Zachary Oslund, Joshua Johnson, and Rubin Herrera, all of Litchfield; siblings, Richard (Jan) Ahl of Litchfield, Donna (Randy) Mogenson of Waverly, MN, and David (Jean) Ahl of Atwater, MN; sisters-in-law, Michelle Ahl of Madison, MN and Vivian Taina of Litchfield; brother-in-law, Harold Johnson of Cokato, MN; and other loving relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Beatrice Ahl; siblings, Margaret Mary (Ike) Carlson and Dewayne Ahl; and brother-in-law, James Taina.
