Evelyn S. Lemke

Evelyn S. Lemke, age 79, died on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at her home in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday November 14, 2014 at Beckville Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 PM on Thursday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and continue one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held in the church cemetery. Evelyn Sue Lemke, the daughter of Orville and Reba (Truelove) Burress, was born on September 17, 1935 in Loogootee, Indiana. She grew up in Indiana, Iowa and Litchfield and graduated from High School in Forest City, Iowa. She was united in marriage to Richard Lemke at Beckville Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Evelyn worked at 3M in Hutchinson for many years and later worked at the Litchfield Schools in the kitchen and was a volunteer grandmother. She was a member of the Beckville Lutheran Church; the Swans bowling league and was involved with the Litchfield G.A.R. Hall. Evelyn enjoyed helping at the Summer Garden Nursery and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband Richard of Litchfield, MN; children Gary Olson of Litchfield, MN and Carol Campos of Lake Genova, Wisconsin; stepchildren Alan (Char) Lemke, Les (Merry) Lemke, Dawn (Jerry) Weyrauch,; 5 grandchildren; step grandchildren Carrie (Jeremy) Raasch, Jarrid (Kayla) Lemke, Jammie (Tony) Klobes, Kelly (Barry) Klobes, Derrik Weyrauch and Moriah Laidlaw; 2 great grandchildren; 7 step great grandchildren; brothers Forrest Burress of Burnsville, MN, Roy Burress of Longmont, Colorado, Russ Burress of Forest City, Iowa and Ron Burress of Litchfield, MN; step sister Dorothy Devine of Loogootee, Indiana; step brother-in-law Otto (April) Braucks of Cottage Grove, MN; and several nieces and nephews.
