Eunice Ulrich

Eunice M. Ulrich, age 80, of Cosmos, MN, died on Wednesday, October 28, 2009, at the Hutchinson Area Health Care Center in Hutchinson, MN. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, November 2, 2009, at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, MN with Pastor Marlaine Doidger officiating. A visitation will be held from 3:00 to 6:00 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2009 at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Cosmos Community Cemetery in Cosmos, MN. Eunice Mae Ulrich, the daughter of Herbert and Mamie (Klitzke) Kaping, was born on October 28, 1929 in Meeker County, MN. She was baptized at the Peace Lutheran Church in Cosmos on December 8, 1929. She grew up in Hutchinson, and received her education at the School District 82. On June 3, 1948, she was united in marriage to Raymond Ulrich in the Acoma Church. Eunice lived in Cosmos, where she was a cook for the Cosmos School District for many years. She enjoyed camping, gardening, sewing, visiting with family and friends and collecting salt and pepper shakers. Her faith was important to her and she will be remembered for being a good cook, a trustworthy listener, a good friend to all and an awesome grandma. Eunice is survived her husband Raymond of Buffalo Lake, MN; children Sheryl (and Edward) Berg of LaVerne, MN, Larry (and Rebecca) Ulrich of Avon, MN, Kyle (and Jean) Ulrich of Stewart, MN, and Na Lea (and Curt) Huls of Hutchinson, MN; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers Donald (and Lilly) Kaping of Litchfield, MN and Herbert Kaping of Fort Ripley, MN; and sisters Tina Dolezal of Silver Lake, MN and Sharon Wegner of Hutchinson, MN. She is preceded in death by her parents Herbert and Mamie; a brother Darrel Kaping; a sister Delores Freitag; a grandson Shane Bomstad and many brothers and sisters in law.
