He married Lorraine on 9/22/45 and they farmed on Lake Manuella for over 60 years. He loved nature and growing things - crops, vegetables or animals. He loved trees and planted many different varieties on their farm and could tell you the variety of each tree there. He loved horses and raised many different kinds that he either rode or drove on one of many different buggies or wagons. He loved poetry and could recite many poems from memory. He loved fun and would take family and friends for bob sled, hay, or buggy rides. And mostly he loved family, especially Lorraine. He was a long time member of the Masons, Shriner's, American Legion and United Methodist Church. He will be deeply missed and we are grateful to have had so many good times with him.
