Elsie Emma Lydia Radunz

Elsie L. Radunz, age 91, of Litchfield died on Monday, September 17, 2012, at Ecumen of Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 21, 2012, at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Elsie Emma Lydia Radunz, the daughter of John and Mary (Reinke) Fischer was born on February, 25, 1921, in Cedar Mills Township, Meeker County. She was baptized at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills on March 20, 1921. She attended country school near Cedar Mills. On September 15, 1939, Elsie was united in marriage to Emil Radunz at St. John's Lutheran Church in Cedar Mills. Together they farmed in Meeker and McLeod County before moving to their Lake Ripley home in 1967. Elsie was a long time resident of Emanuel Home in Litchfield. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed playing bingo and attending church services at Emanuel Home. She loved to visit with the staff of Emanuel Home and family. Elsie is survived by her daughters, Laura (and Charles) Hanson of Hackensack, Ruby (and Michael) Bauer of Ely, grandchildren, Gene Haagenson, Pam Bell, Marc Hanson, Susan Block, David Radunz, Jeffrey (and Stacy) Radunz, great grandchildren, Amy (and Joseph) Darnell, Amanda Block and her special friend, Chris Wanous, Mitchell Radunz, great great grandson, Tristan Darnell; daughter-in-law, Elvern Radunz of Hutchinson, MN.
