Ellen Resman

Ellen G. Resman, age 72, of Litchfield, MN, died on Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. Arrangements are pending with Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Litchfield, MN. Ellen Frances Gile Resman, the daughter of Stewart and Marie (Fischer) Gile was born on January 28, 1938 in St. Paul, MN. She grew up in Minneapolis and graduated from Holy Angels Academy High School. Ellen was united in marriage to William A. Resman in Minneapolis, MN on November 17, 1956. Together they lived in several upper midwest states before moving to Litchfield in the fall of 1978. Ellen enjoyed collecting doll houses that she decorated and furnished. She also enjoyed watching figure skating and reading historical fiction and mysteries. Ellen is survived by her husband William of Litchfield, MN; daughter Ellen Resman of St. Paul, MN; son Ben Resman of St. Paul, MN; brother Stewart (and Susan) Gile of Colorado; and a sister Kathie (and Al) Samuelson of Muncie, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter Ellen Ann Resman.
