Ellen Mae Brinkman

Ellen Mae (Hobbs) Brinkman was born November 30, 1917 on a Homestead farm near Hogeland, Montana. Ellen passed away December 30, 2024 at Bethany in Litchfield at the age of 107. She was the second of five daughters born to Rufus and Josephine (Naugle) Hobbs and was the last surviving member of that family. 

She is survived by her son, Richard John Brinkman and his wife, Karen L. (Ebner) Brinkman of Windom, MN; grandchildren, Philip Andrew Brinkman and Janna Lee Kautz. A daughter, Linda Mae Dallum (Mel) of Great Falls, MT; two granddaughters, Pamela Mae Glinsmann (Jon) of Great Falls and Melinda Mae Buschee (Tracy) of Kodiak, AK. Daughter, Marjorie Mae Streed (John) of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren, Richard Dean Streed and wife, Heidi of Madison, WI, Jennifer Mae Steinkraus (Loren) of Burnsville, MN and Jessica Mae Puddicombe (Russ) of Grand Rapids, MN; eight great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Brinkman Jr., October 22, 1983 in Litchfield, MN.

There will be no service to mourn her passing, only tears and memories to last a lifetime. She will be buried in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN in the spring.
