Eleanor Larsen, age 82, died on January 14, 2017, at the Meeker Manor in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 20, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Grove City. Visitation will be on Thursday, January 19, 2017 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the church. Interment will be in the Baptist cemetery later this spring. Eleanor Louise Larsen, the daughter of Victor and Ruth (Quist) Peterson, was born on February 18, 1934 in Grove City. She grew up in Grove City and graduated from Grove City High School in 1952. On September 25, 1953, she was united in marriage to Wade Larsen at the First Lutheran Church in Grove City. They lived in the Grove City area until 1973 when they moved north of Forest City on a farm. Eleanor worked as a waitress at Partains in Grove City and the American Legion in Eden Valley. She also worked as a clerk in several grocery stores including Nelson Brothers, Bernie's Fairway and Tom Thumb. She worked for a little over 4 years at Jennie-O as well. She enjoyed being ""Camp Grandma"" at Trout Lake Bible Camp where she worked in the office and drove children to and from camp. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grove City and was a true ""prayer warrior"". Eleanor had a servant's heart and always wanted to help people. She enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, playing cards and dominos. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her son Jerry Larsen of Grove City; grandchildren Amanda and Isaiah Larsen of Grove City; brother Richard (and Kathy) Peterson of Brooklyn Center and sister Carolyn (and Mike) Heveron of Great Mills, Maryland. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. Previous Events
