DOUGLAS G. JARVEIS

Douglas Jarveis, 47 of Watkins, passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2011. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at 5:00 pm at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Friends may call one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Jeff Garland will officiate. Douglas Jarveis was born on May 8, 1963 in Clarkfield Village, Yellow Medicine County, Minnesota. He was the son of Lowell and Barbara (Drager) Jarveis. On July 20, 1985, Douglas was united in marriage to Susan Bartell in St. Cloud. They resided at St. Augusta and Crosby prior to moving to Watkins about four years ago. Douglas was self employed doing auto body repair. His hobbies included hunting and fishing and he enjoyed planting trees. Douglas is survived by his wife, Susan Jarveis of Watkins; children, April Jarveis of Becker and Tanner Jarveis of Watkins; parents, Lowell and Barbara Jarveis of Watkins; grandmother, Lillian Drager of Cottonwood; sister, Sandy and Peter Arnold of Glencoe; brother, Bob and Tiana Jarveis of Pine City; nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arnold Drager, Napoleon and Glenis Jarveis.
