Doug Ray Litzau

Doug Ray Litzau, age 64, passed away, after a battle with brain cancer, on September 13, 2023 at River Oaks on Shady Ridge in Hutchinson, MN. A memorial service will be held at Johnson Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. with visitation starting at 10:00 A.M. After the service, there will be a time for family and friends to share memories and stories. A luncheon will follow. At the conclusion of the service and lunch, family will be gathering at Prairie Park in Litchfield to continue celebrating the life of Doug.

Doug was born on June 3, 1959 to Richard Litzau and Sharon Jackson. Doug worked in the family business, Litzau Farm and Drainage, for most of his working career. He took pride in providing lawn care and blowing snow in the winter. He had a passion for the outdoors, grilling, fishing, and cars.

He is survived by his children Douglas (Hannah) Litzau Jr. of Cape Coral, FL; Shannon (Tim) Wynia of Fargo, ND; Jessica (Travis) Odegard of Sacred Heart, MN; and his significant other, Carla Zahnow. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great grandchildren, as well as his brothers Kim (Debbie) Litzau, Kevin Litzau, Dean Litzau, and Keith Litzau.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Litzau and Sharon (Jackson) Litzau.
