Doreen Koralesky

Doreen Koralesky, 74, of Litchfield, MN, died on October 24th after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Doreen was born April 5, 1946 in St. Cloud, MN to Math and Marcella (Schmitz) Kollman. Doreen grew up in a big and caring family living in rural Brooten, MN, she graduated from Glenwood High School and Alexandria Area Technical College. She fell in love with Tom Koralesky and they married in 1968. Doreen and Tom started a family in Hopkins, MN. Doreen worked as a secretary for Pillsbury Company in Minneapolis for five years. In 1976 the family moved to Litchfield, Doreen worked as a secretary at the School of St. Philip and later to the principal of Litchfield High School until retirement. Doreen was a dedicated employee and always had a smile to share. Doreen most loved spending time with her family and with friends. Doreen and Tom went on cruises to the Caribbean and Alaska and traveled to seven countries in Europe. They enjoyed visiting state parks, camping, walking, and bird watching. Special to Doreen were regular shopping expeditions with LaNay and visiting Barron and Michelle in St. Paul and later Massachusetts. Doreen loved family gatherings, especially the annual picnic, sisters weekend, and mother-daughter weekend. She also enjoyed socializing with friends, particularly her monthly birthday club. Doreen will remain in the hearts of her husband of 52 years, Tom; son Barron and wife Michelle Juneau, daughter LaNay; siblings Mary (Bob) Wiener, Laura (Bill) Pohl, Vera Thorpe, Lorraine Kollman, Jerry (Alyce) Kollman, Jim(Rosie) Kollman, Doris (Ken) Fennell, Kathy (Don) Leonard, Mona (Kevin) Hawkinson, and Darrel (Martha) Kollman; as well as many nieces and nephews. Doreen is preceded in death by her parents, siblings Ronald, Donald, Eugene, Leon, and Diane Kollman, brothers-in-law Jim Polipnick and Fred Regeimbal; nephew Mike Wiener.
