Donald J. Burr, age 77, of Litchfield, MN, died on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at the St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Kerr officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be held at the Manannah Cemetery, Union Grove Township, MN. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Donald James Burr, the son of Frank and Delia (Schmidt) Burr was born on January 18, 1934 in Paynesville, MN. He graduated from the Paynesville High School in 1953 and continued his education at the Humbolt School of Traffic Management. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict and was united in marriage to Donna Lounsbury at the Manannah Union Church on June 16, 1956. Throughout his life he lived in Paynesville, MN, Aurora, MN and Litchfield, MN where he was a pipefitter and a plumber. He enjoyed being active in community education and received the Litchfield Community Education service award through ECFE. He also enjoyed woodworking, hunting, fishing, camping, and polka music. Donald is survived by his wife Donna of Litchfield, MN; children, Barbara (and Amir) Monzavi of Columbia Heights and Tim Burr of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren, Philip Burr, Sophie Burr, Peyton Burr and Mitra Monzavi; brothers, Thomas of Paynesville, MN and Joseph of Fridley, MN and a sister Wanda 'Skip' (and Fritz) Domke of Cold Spring, MN.
