Don Snegosky

Don Snegosky, age 70 of Paynesville, MN passed away on Friday April 11, 2025 at his home.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday May 3, 2025 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday May 2, 2025 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation in Litchfield, MN.

Don James Snegosky, the son of Allen and Adeline (Westrup) Snegosky, was born in Litchfield, MN, on August 13, 1954. He graduated from Litchfield High School in 1972 and also Dunwoody College of Technology in 1974. He was united in marriage to his high school sweetheart, Barb Snegosky, on August 9, 1975, at St. Philip Church in Litchfield, MN. Together they raised their three children in New Hope. They moved to Maple Grove in 2006 and also bought the lake home on Rice Lake near Paynesville. They became permanent residents of the lake in 2019. Don was baptized and confirmed as a member of St. Philip Church before joining Saint Raphael Church in New Hope and then St. Louis Church in Paynesville. He worked for Penske Truck Leasing for most of his career and for Kolstad Company before he retired. Don enjoyed watching his grandkids' sporting events and always having Kit Kat bars and fruit snacks for them, playing Black Queen, continuing Barb’s tradition of ice cream sundaes on Saturdays after her passing, having family at the cabin, and hunting at the Rack Shack.

He is survived by his children Adam (Megan) Snegosky of Hammond, WI, Kate (Brent) Hannan of Greenfield, MN, Jeff (Char) Snegosky of Chaska, MN; grandchildren Nolan Snegosky, Courtney Snegosky, Jadon Snegosky, Mason Hannan, Brody Snegosky, Parker Snegosky, Chloe Snegosky and Liam Hannan. He is also survived by his siblings, Karen (Pat) Buckley of White Plains, NY, Tom (Linda) Snegosky of Calabash NC, Bob (Cindy) Snegosky of Hudson, WI, Ruth (Pete) Ackerman of Litchfield, MN, Kenny (Diane) Snegosky of Litchfield, MN and Gary (Connie) Snegosky of Otsego, MN; and his brother-in-law Ray Doering of Litchfield, MN.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Al and Adeline; wife Barb; and sister Gail Doering.
