Dennis Stay

Dennis M. Stay, age 59, of Litchfield died on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at the Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, February 8, 2010 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with Pastor Christian Muellerleile officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery. Dennis Mervin Stay, the son of Stanley and Mildred (Olson) Stay, was born on November 28, 1950, in Minneapolis. He grew up in South Minneapolis and attended Central High School. After high school he attended barber school and worked as a barber for about 5 years. He then started trucking and has been driving ever since. On October 10, 1986, he was united in marriage to Susan Arnold in Minneapolis. They moved to the Kimball and Litchfield area in 1988. He is survived by his wife, Susan of Litchfield, children, Danielle Stay (and boyfriend Michael) of Litchfield and James Arnold of Litchfield, grandchildren, Cyrus, Aaron and Ian. He is also survived by his brothers, Stanley (and Lynnea) Stay of South Haven, Ronald (and Myrna) Stay of Ironton, MN and brothers-in-law Craig Javes of Minneapolis, Sonny (and Linda) Arnold of Eden Valley, sisters-in-law, Jane Dolan of St. Michael and Rita Haugen of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Alma Javes.
