DeLaine Jeannete Rolfe

DeLaine Jeannete Rolfe, age 84, of Litchfield, MN, formerly of Hutchinson, MN, died on Thursday, June 28, 2012 at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Hutchinson, MN. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 7:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Tuesday. Interment will be in Oakland Cemetery, Hutchinson, MN. Mrs. Ford A. (DeLaine) Rolfe Jr., the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle (Grams) Frank, was born in Buffalo Lake, MN on October 4, 1927. Growing up, she helped on the family farm, and graduated from Buffalo Lake High School in 1945. She continued her education in Duluth, MN, graduating from Beauty School in 1947. On August 31, 1948 DeLaine Jeannete was united in marriage to Ford A. Rolfe Jr. at Peace Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, MN. After marriage, she lived in Hutchinson where she worked in the office of the family business; Frank and Rolfe Washed Sand and Gravel. She was an active member of Faith Lutheran Church in Hutchinson, and a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church. She was also a busy homemaker, raising her children Ford and Julianne; and also her grandchildren, Melanie and Joshua after Julianne died. DeLaine Jeannete enjoyed watching NASCAR, reading, and spending time at Lake Minne Belle with her family. She was active in card and bridge clubs in Hutchinson, and donated her time being a hairdresser at Burns Manor in Hutchinson for many years. She is survived by her son Ford Arthur (and Mary Lou) Rolfe of Litchfield, MN; son-in-law Dale Ritz of Hutchinson, MN; 6 grandchildren, Brandon Berwald, Lisa Valiant, Melanie Ritz, Joshua Ritz, Dustin Meyer and Carlene Meyer; 7 great grandchildren; and a sister Virginia Randle of Junction City, Oregon. She is preceded in death by her husband Ford A.
