David B. Schrotberger

David B. Schrotberger, age 62, of Manannah, MN died on Monday, August 22, 2011 at his home in Manannah where his daughter Lisa (and Zack) and grandkids Logan and Briana helped with caregiving so he could spend the rest of his days in the comfort of his own home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 26, 2011 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield, MN with Father Joseph Steinbeisser as Celebrant. A visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Thursday August 25, 2011 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Friday. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. David Bruce Schrotberger, the son of Harold and Lois (Peterson) Schrotberger, was born on December 21, 1948 in St. James, MN. He lived in the Litchfield area throughout his life. He worked road construction, and owned, operated and drove his truck for the Stan Koch and Sons Company for over 20 years. He was a long time member of the Litchfield American Legion. He enjoyed fishing, restoring cars, doing house projects and spending time with his family and friends. Heartland hospice of St. Cloud gave wonderful care. He is survived by his children, Lisa (and fiancee Zack Schmidt) Schrotberger of Litchfield, MN, Jason (and fiancee Lisa Quimby) of Willmar, MN and Tasha (and Todd) Williams of Bradenton, FL; 7 grandchildren, Logan, Briana, Owen, Nicholas, Alayna, Myles and Maegan; mother, Lois Schrotberger of Litchfield, MN; brothers Gary (and Sue) Schrotberger of Litchfield, MN and Mike (and Karen) Schrotberger of Cokato, MN; sisters, Patty (and Donald) Dicken of Franklin, Ind. and June (and Tim) Wiberg of Brooklyn Park, MN; his former spouse Rosie (Wick) Shinnick; and his faithful pet companion, Chewy, of 14 years.
