David John Reierson

David J. Reierson, age 63, of Litchfield died on Friday, July 11, 2014, at Abbott Hospital in Minneapolis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday July 18, 2014, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the St. Gertrude Catholic Cemetery. David John Robert Reierson, the son of John and Betty (Jensen) Reierson, was born on March 13, 1951, in Bemidji. He grew up and attended school in Kelliher, MN. After high school he worked at Boise-Cascade in International Falls until the early 1980's. He moved back to Kelliher and worked various jobs before joining the 49ers as a heavy equipment operator. He worked on road construction and also on the pipeline. On January 1, 2011, he was united in marriage to Debra Garding in Litchfield. David enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting for deer and grouse and fishing. He loved his dogs Jasper and Jasmine. David also enjoyed bowling and playing Texas Holdem. He is survived by his wife, Debra (Garding) Reierson of Litchfield; siblings, Sonny (and Bernadine) Reierson of International Falls, Tootie (and Art) Rick of Watkins, Tiny Thielen of Eden Valley, Butch (and Carol) Reierson of Kelliher, Joann Killmer of Northome, Bev Gross of Bemidji, and Jackie (and Myron) Albrecht of Mizpah. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, many in-laws, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Sis Kosbau.
