Darrel L. Jackson

Darrel L. Jackson, age 64 of Litchfield, MN died on Tuesday February 21, 2023 at the Meeker Manor in Litchfield, MN.  A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 3, 2023 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to the service.

Darrel Lee Jackson, the son of Grant and Viola (Smoldt) Jackson, was born on September 25, 1958 in Litchfield, MN.  He grew up in Atwater where he graduated from Atwater High School in 1977.  Throughout his life he lived in Atwater, Cosmos and Litchfield, MN.  He farmed and worked in construction and metal recycling.  Darrel was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards, telling jokes and spending time with his family and grandkids.

He is survived by his son Jarod (Missy) Oslund of Litchfield, MN; stepchildren Jeromy (Aleah) Oslund of Litchfield, MN and Jordan (Katie) Oslund of Dassel, MN; grandchildren Kaiden and Braylin Oslund; brother Perry (Jill) Jackson of Dassel, MN; previous wife Rhonda; sisters-in-law Shelly Jackson of Litchfield, MN, Sandi Jackson of Plymouth, MN, Sandy Jackson of Arizona, Kathy Jackson of Cosmos, MN; brother-in-law Richard Litzau of Atwater, MN; many nieces and nephews’ great nieces and nephews; and special friend JoAnn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grant and Viola Jackson; brothers Kenneth, Dale, Lloyd, Dennis, Wayne, Danny, Miles and Alan; and sisters Shirley, Sharon, Barb, Karen and Joyce.
