Daniel 'Dan' Duehlmeier

Daniel M. 'Dan' Duehlmeier, age 65, of Litchfield, MN, died on Friday March 28, 2014 at the Harmony River Living Center in Hutchinson, MN. A time of remembrance will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Friday April 4, 2014 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Berea Lutheran Church, 9308 Rich Valley Boulevard in Inver Grove Heights, MN with a 10 AM visitation at the church. Interment will be held in Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Daniel Mark Duehlmeier, the son of Harold and Natalie (Hartmann) Duehlmeier was born on February 21, 1949 in Morris, MN. Dan grew up in Sanborn, MN and graduated from Immanuel Lutheran High School in Eau Claire, WI in 1967. He graduated from the Immanuel Lutheran College in 1970 and was united in marriage to Cherie Pohl in Fridley, MN on November 8, 1975. Together they moved to Litchfield in 1976, where he worked for Johnson-Brothers Construction for 28 years and also farmed. He was presently working for Northern Dewatering as a construction estimator. Living on his grandparents farm, he made a long time project of remodeling the home, planting trees and maintaining the yard. He had a strong faith throughout his life that was passed on to his family, and he enjoyed being a member of the Cosmos community. Dan especially enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren. Dan is survived by his wife Cherie of Litchfield, MN; children, John Duehlmeier of Cadot, WI, Amy (and Jeremy) Rick of Hutchinson, MN, Nicholas (and Miranda) Duehlmeier of Blaine, MN and Nathan Duehlmeier of Litchfield, MN; 4 grandchildren, Josh Rick, Grace Duehlmeier, Malena Duehlmeier and Mikayla Duehlmeier; and sisters Rhoda Eserhut of Fond du Lac, WI, Elizabeth Sydow of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Miriam Aymond of Inver Grove Heights, MN.
