Curtis L. Wendt

Curtis L. Wendt, age 59, of Grove City, MN, died on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at his home in Grove City, MN, where his loving wife took care of him. They had a very special love for each other. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Tuesday. Interment will be in the Burr Oak Cemetery. Curtis Lamonte Wendt, the son of Freeman and Sylvia (Kruggel) Wendt, was born on January 30, 1953 in Dawson, MN. He attended school in Grove City, MN and Litchfield, MN, graduating from Litchfield High School in 1971. Following high school he worked on a curb and gutter crew in the Twin Cities. He was united in marriage to Debbie Garding at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa on March 20, 1976. Together they lived in Litchfield, MN until moving to Grove City in 1978. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Curtis farmed his entire life, and started Country Construction in 1980. He also worked on water towers for many years. Whether he was farming or building grain bins or grain legs, Curtis always put 100% of his effort into every job. He enjoyed working, reading, and spending time with his family during vacations. Curtis is survived by his wife Debbie of Grove City, MN; son Eric (and Ivy) Wendt of Monticello, MN; mother Sylvia Wendt of Litchfield, MN; and sister LaNette (and Jeff) Bremseth of Forest City, MN.
