Craig Bengtson

Craig Bengtson, age 61 of Litchfield, passed away at Rice Memorial Hospital in Willmar, MN on July 18, 2024. A memorial service for Craig will be held on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 3:00PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 1:00-3:00 prior to the service. Interment will be at Burr Oak Cemetery in Paynesville, MN. 

Craig was born on June 1, 1963 in Paynesville, MN to Newell and Phyllis (Smith) Bengtson. He attended and graduated from Grove City High School in 1981. Craig was united in marriage to Michelle Nething on June 30, 2007 at the Methodist church. Craig was self-employed in construction and he worked along side his best friend, Charles Nething. 

Craig is survived by his children, Madison Bengtson, Carter Bengtson, Carson Bengtson, Blake Bengtson, all of Litchfield, MN, father and mother-in-law, Charles and Mary Nething, sisters, Linda Houk, Atwater, MN, Debra Bengtson, Litchfield, MN, Nancy Commander, Alexandria, MN, Sheri Elder, Lenoir, NC, brothers-in-law, Michael (special friend), Michelle) Nething, Wisconsin and William Nething, Litchfield, MN, and many nieces and nephews. 

Preceded in death by his parents, Newell and Phyllis Bengtson, wife, Michelle Bengtson, brother-in-law, Charles Nething, Jr., brothers, Jerry Bengtson, Mark Bengtson, sister, Betty Bengtson.
