Corey Allen Straub

Corey Allen Straub, age 54 of Litchfield, MN passed away on Thursday April 3, 2025 at his home in Litchfield, MN. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday April 11, 2025 at Gethsemane Lutheran Church in Dassel, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Corey was born to Phyllis and Willard Straub on January 8, 1971 in Waconia, MN. The family moved and settled in Dassel, MN. After high-school he lived in Willmar for several years, making many friends and a little trouble. Corey lived in the Dassel and the Litchfield area from 2000 until his death. Corey loved Elvis, 80's music, and model cars! He enjoyed volleyball and softball and refereed some. He was in the JC’s for a couple of years. Corey was employed at various restaurants as a short order cook and various factories; most recently at Bobcat in Litchfield. Corey never married, but Corey and Sheri's relationship over 10 years had a son, Austin, born in 2003. He was his pride and joy. His everything and was so proud to be a Dad. Corey had many nieces and nephews and was a kid at heart himself. Corey's humor is what got him through. His one liners and jokes were his way. He would always say, "I can sleep all I want when I'm dead." Corey can rest now. Corey was always around to help others. He had a beautiful heart even when things were challenging.

Corey was preceded in death by his parents Phyllis and Willard and many Aunts and Uncles. Corey is survived by his brothers Scott (Scotty) Straub of Dassel, MN and Dean Straub of Ottertail, MN; his sister Kelly and Arnie Bos of Brainard, Mn; and son Austin Straub of Cokato, MN; and many nieces, nephews
