Clarice -A. Midtling, age 67, of Litchfield died at her home on Friday, December 12, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Harvey Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 — 8:00 PM on Monday, December 15, 2008 at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in Burr Oak Cemetery, Union Grove Township, MN.
Clarice Alice Midtling, the daughter of Jarvis and Alice (Wendroth) Greeley was born on July 13, 1941 in Union Grove Township, Meeker County, MN. She was baptized, confirmed and married at the Union Grove Township Methodist Church. Clarice attended School District 27 through 8th grade, and graduated from the Paynesville High School in 1959. On March 26, 1960 she was united in marriage to Bradley Midtling. Clarice worked for Corporate Red Owl in Minneapolis, Minnesota Mining, and in 1971 she began working for Meeker County, where she worked for 35 years. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN since 1968. Clarice enjoyed golfing, reading, quilting, gardening and cooking and baking for her family.
Clarice is survived by her husband Brad of Litchfield; mother Alice Greeley of Litchfield, MN; 3 children Kevin (and Kris) Midtling of Litchfield, MN, Brian (and Sharon) Midtling of Brownton, MN, and Lori Baker of Grove City; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; 2 brothers Willis (and Sharon) Greeley of Hutchinson and Willard (and Karen) Greeley of New London, MN; sister Lois (and James) Patten of Cloquet, MN; brother-in-law Lee Wendroth of Richmond; 3 sisters-in-law Marlene Midtling of Litchfield, Shellea (and Al) Pfingsten of Becker, MN and Debbie (and Gary) Bengtson of Urbandale, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father Jarvis; sister Karen Wendroth; sister-in-law Audrey Holm; father-in-law Menser Midtling and mother-in-law Helen Midtling and son-in-law Jeff Baker.
