Christina Hawes

Christina, Chris, M. Hawes, age 58, of Litchfield, MN, died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at her home in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at First Lutheran Church with Pastor Bob Dahl officiating. A time of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in All Saints Lutheran Cemetery, Darwin, MN. Christina, Chris, Marie Hawes, the daughter of James and Irene (Moberg) Anderson, was born on June 30, 1952 in Minneapolis, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1970 and was united in marriage to Gary Hawes on August 28, 1971, near Lake Stella, in Darwin, MN. She worked for 3M for 27 years, retiring in 2003. Chris was a member of First Lutheran Church and the Girls with Purls Knitting Club. Chris enjoyed knitting, painting, riding motorcycle, golfing, going to the cabin up north and spending time with her grandkids. She is survived by her husband, Gary of Litchfield, MN; sons, Jared Hawes (and Hope Rieck) of Litchfield, MN and Ryan (and Sara) Hawes of Litchfield, MN; grandsons, Derak, Jacob and Lucas Hawes; brother, James Anderson of Litchfield, MN; sisters, Mary (and Phil) Steenrod of Litchfield, MN and Sue (and Wayne) Elam of Litchfield, MN; aunts, Erla Karlstad of Minneapolis, MN and Candace Moberg of Duluth, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
