Christian 'Chris' G. Garding, age 38, of Litchfield, died on October 3, 2010, in Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 9, 2010, at the Church of St. Gertrude in Forest City, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday. Interment will be held at St. Gertrude's Catholic Cemetery, Forest City, MN. Military honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Christian ""Chris"" Gerald Garding was born on April 4, 1972 in Litchfield, MN to Gerald and Betty (Keehn) Garding. He was baptized and confirmed at the Church of St. Gertrude in Forest City, MN. He received his education at the Litchfield High School and the Hutchinson Technical College. Chris lived in Litchfield and Fergus Falls. He served in the National Guard in Litchfield for 8 years and was currently employed at Towmaster in Litchfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, river tubing and spending time with his family and kids. Chris is survived by his parents, Jerry and Betty of Litchfield, MN; children, Christian Michael Garding of Granite Falls, MN, Skyler James Garding of South Haven, MN and Kyara Evelyn Garding of Kingston, MN; step-children, Melanie and Adam Wallace of Kingston, MN; brothers and sisters, Thomas (and Joyce) Garding of Elizabeth, MN, Sandra Kemp of Fergus Falls, MN and Michelle (and Joe) Bogatzki of Litchfield, MN; nieces and nephews, Kyle, Tommy Jr., Tamara, Ashlley, Mitchell, Tylor, Tenia, Austin and Darion; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hilarious and Evelyn Garding and Norman and Susan Keehn; uncles, LeRoy, Allen, Hilarious Jr., Ed, Lyle and John; and cousins Robin and Mikel.
