Chad Philip Rohde

Chad P. Rohde age 40, of Litchfield died at his home on Sunday, December 16, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer. Friends and family may gather at the Church of St. Philip from 4:00 PM until 7:30 PM on Friday, December 21, 2018. A prayer service will be held at the end of the visitation at church. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:15 AM on Saturday, December 22, at the Church of St. Philip. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Chad Philip Rohde, the son of Eugene and Helen (Klehr) Rohde, was born on February 8, 1978, in Hutchinson. He grew up in Litchfield and graduated from Litchfield High School in 1996. After high school, Chad worked for Miller Manufacturing and then was a welder for Aspen Trailers before becoming disabled. His cancer started in his lower leg and progressed up through his body. His battle with cancer cost him his leg and eventually his life. He was a member of the Church of St. Philip. Chad enjoyed snowmobiling, playing video games and listening to music. He also enjoyed working on cars. Chad is survived by his wife Linda Rohde of Litchfield, children Jordan Dahl and Stefanie Rohde both of Litchfield; brother Jared (and Bobbie) Rohde of Ankeny, IA and sister Tessa Briscoe of Willmar. He is also survived by several other relatives, friends and his dog Dozer. He was preceded in death by parents Eugene and Helen, grandparents and his godfather Bob Klehr.
