Carolyn Pehle

Carolyn A. Pehle, age 69, of Litchfield died on Tuesday, December 29, 2009, at Gloria Dei, Litchfield, MN. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 PM Monday, January 4, 2010 at the Augustana Memorial Chapel, Litchfield, MN with Chaplin Roger Klinghagen officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Augustana Chapel. Carolyn Ann Pehle, the daughter of Elmer and Vivian (Steinback) Wieker, was born on June 4, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. She received her education in Grove City High School graduating in 1958. She was united in marriage to Burtian Pehle on December 5, 1958 in Grove City, MN. Throughout her life she lived in Rosendale, Grove City, Willmar, Spicer and Litchfield. Carolyn worked at the Willmar Medical Center from 1974 until 1984 and at Georges Food and Fuel in Spicer, MN from 1985 until 1998. She enjoyed making crafts, collecting coke memorabilia, trips to the casino along with gambling, the music of Kenny Rogers and puzzles. She is survived by her twin children Scott Pehle of Spicer, MN, DeAnn (and Mike) Ellingson of Elk River, MN; 4 grandchildren Chaz, Leif, Caleb and Sadie; father Elmer Wieker of Litchfield, MN and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother Vivian Wieker, husband Burtian Pehle and brother Dale Wieker.
