Carol Davis

Carol Lynn Davis, age 72, passed away on Sunday, December 29th, 2024 at Harmony River Assisted Living Center in Hutchinson, MN.

Carol Lynn Davis was born in Grand Forks, ND on June 3, 1952 to Clarence and Marjorie Braaten. She attended and graduated from Grand Forks Central High School in 1970 and then attended Aker’s Business College, graduating with an associate degree in 1972. In 1974, Carol met Greg Davis while he was attending the University of North Dakota. They were married in May of 1976 at University Lutheran Church in Grand Forks. Upon Greg’s graduation, they relocated to Morgan City, Louisiana where Greg worked as an engineer for an oil company. In 1990 Carol and Greg relocated to Mandeville, Louisiana where they raised their two children. Carol spent her time as a housewife taking care of their children, volunteering in their children’s school classrooms and supporting her husband’s career. In 2003 upon the last child’s high school graduation, Carol and Greg moved back to Minnesota. In 2005, Carol's dream of living on the lake came true when they bought a lake home on Rice Lake east of Paynesville, Minnesota.

Carol is survived by her husband, Greg; her son Geoffrey (Amy) Davis and their son Gabel and daughter Mona; her daughter Christine (Chris) Schmidt; brothers Jerry (Kris) Braaten and Richard (Debbie) Braaten; sister Debra Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents.
