Calvin (Kelly) C. Arvidson, age 86, of Litchfield, MN, formerly of Aitkin and Bloomington, MN, died on Saturday, April 14, 2012, at Ecumen of Litchfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield with Father Joseph Steinbeisser celebrating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Military honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Interment will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in the Malmo Cemetery, Malmo, MN. Calvin Charles Arvidson, the son of Fred and Nellie (Olson) Arvidson, was born on October 2, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN. Kelly married Pearl (Sandberg) Punton on September 4, 1955, and together they lived in Bloomington, MN, where he worked for many years at Honeywell. Following his retirement, he and Pearl moved to Lone Lake near Aitkin where he enjoyed family, the lake and ""collecting""! Kelly served patriotically for 26 months, on the front line during WWII. Pearl passed away in August, 1991 after a difficult struggle with cancer. Survivors include, Ben (and Mary) Sandberg of Brainerd, Tom (and Susanne) Punton of St. Cloud and FL and grandchildren, Todd, Carrie, Michael, Jason, John, Tracy and families, sisters, Muriel and Gail and their families. In June, 1996 he married Bette Vlaminck in Litchfield, MN, and was blessed with her children, Linda (and Bob) Kmitch, Bernie (and Lee) Peterson, Pat Fluck and Jerry (and Angie) Vlaminck and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Pearl, daughter Angie (Punton) Dix, and daughter-in-law Carole Punton.
Calvin was a member of the Church of St. Philip. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends. Previous Events
