""Bud"" Alphonsus Johanneck

Alphonsus ""Bud"" B. Johanneck, age 82, of Litchfield, MN, died on Monday, March 21, 2011, at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home, Litchfield, MN. Private family services will be held with interment in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Alphonsus ""Bud"" Benedict Johanneck, the son of Benedict and Elizabeth (Oachs) Johanneck, was born on December 13, 1928, in McLeod County, Minnesota. He grew up and received his education in Litchfield, MN, graduating in 1947. He enlisted in the US Air Force in August, 1947. In August of 1951 he was honorably discharged and returned to Litchfield, MN. He was united in marriage to Beryl Roberts at St. John's Parish in Darwin, MN, on January 15, 1952. He was a manager in sales and worked at JF Anderson Lumber Company from 1951 until 1955, Duffy Paper Company and Globemaster Tools, and was the owner of Mini-Biff Portable Toilets. Bud was a member of the Church of St. Philip and the Knights of Columbus. Bud will be remembered for his work ethic and his unique sense of humor. He enjoyed bowling, supporting his sons and grandson's race interests, and spending time with friends and family. Bud is survived by his children, Michael (and Linda) Johanneck of Willmar, MN, Lynn (and Dick) Weiss of Maple Grove, MN, Steve Johanneck (and Sherri Sipe) of Litchfield, MN, Tony (and Sylvia) Johanneck of Spicer, MN, Debbie (and Richard) Gabrielson of Darwin, MN and Pat (and Joe) Grebenc of Willoughby Hills, OH; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; siblings, Dick (and Karla) Johanneck of Litchfield, MN, and Rose Marie (Bill) Reynolds of Paoli, PA, and sister-in-law, Nancy Johanneck of Phoenix, AZ. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Beryl, brothers, Peter and Bill and sister, Theresa Thomas.
