Bruce Allen Loken

Bruce A. Loken, 63 of Watkins, passed away on May 10, 2011 at his home. A Celebration of Life was held on May 14, 2011 at the Ertl Funeral Home in Watkins. Rev. Richard Gross officiated. Music was by Chloe Cutten and Rochelle Larson. Honorary casket bearers were Roger Tentis, Rod Edslinger, Mike Holter, Paul Gillis, Jeff Gatton, and Harlan Mesedahl. Bruce Loken was born on January 17, 1948 at Minneapolis, MN. He was the son of Clifford and Thea (Anderson) Loken. Following high school, Bruce enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country in Vietnam. Bruce was employed as a postal carrier for the United States Postal Service for many years. He moved to the Watkins area about twelve years ago and was united in marriage to Luanne Schneider on May 17, 2008 at St. Cloud. Bruce was active in forming various AA groups and enjoyed attending the Gopher State Roundups and retreats. He was a member of the VFW and was very proud to have served his country. Bruce loved the outdoors and he was especially fond of eagles and his dog, Coco. He enjoyed visiting and socializing with family and friends. Bruce is survived by his wife, Luanne Loken of Watkins; children, Brad Loken of St. Louis Park, Becca Loken of Denver, CO; grandson, Mason Loken of St. Louis Park; his dog, Coco; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers and one sister.
