Brigetta ""Bea"" Mary Wachter, age 89, of Hutchinson, formerly of Brownton, died on Friday, June 13 2014 at Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, June 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2014 from 4:00 until 7:00 PM with a parish prayer service at 6:30 PM at St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Hutchinson and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Oak Grove Cemetery in Brownton, MN. Brigetta Mary Wachter the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Thueringer) Weinzetl was born in the family's home on August 4, 1924, in Fairfax, Minnesota. She grew up and received her education in Fairfax, graduating from Fairfax High School in 1942. She was united in marriage to Carl Wachter on August 26, 1942 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Fairfax, Minnesota. Carl and Brigetta made their home in Fairfax, Hector, Buffalo Lake, Stewart and Brownton. They were blessed with six children, Ann, Janet, Mary, Jon, Kevin, and Carol. Brigetta enjoyed being a homemaker and worked several jobs including working for Bowlby and Company, Green Giant, Telex, and several restaurants. They were active members of St. Boniface Catholic Church in Stewart, MN where Brigetta was a member of the CCW and choir. Throughout the years she was also active in the Lions Club and CB Club. In 1993 Brigetta enjoyed a wonderful trip to Austria accompanied by a niece, she also enjoyed music, gardening, woodworking, ceramics, playing cards, crocheting, embroidery, cooking and baking (especially her donuts), volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. She enjoyed and took pride in being a caregiver, she would drop everything to help anyone in whatever was needed. Brigetta is survived by her children, Ann (and Don) Konietzko of Litchfield, Jan (and Al) Pinkert of Red Wing, Mary Stevens of Hutchinson, Jon (and Liz) Wachter of Mankato, Kevin (and Cindy) Wachter of Williamson, New York, and Carol Lutgen of Otsego. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, many friends and other family members. Brigetta was preceded in death by her husband Carl, parents Joseph and Anna and siblings Joseph (and Sylvia) Weinzetl, Anna (and Clarence) Woldengen, Michael (and Eleanor) Weinzetl and Mary (and Bill) Carlson.
