Blanche M. Lundin

Blanche M. Lundin, age 84, of Litchfield, died on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Meeker Memorial Hospital in Litchfield, MN. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at First Lutheran Church and will continue one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield, MN. Blanche Maren Lundin, the daughter of Clem and Dagmar (Peterson) Stiff, was born on March 28, 1931 in Litchfield, MN. She graduated from Litchfield High School in 1949 and was united in marriage to John Lundin on June 19, 1949 at the Litchfield United Methodist Church. They moved to a farm south of Litchfield where she raised roosters, hens and ducks; and spent time gardening, growing flowers and driving the tractor while bailing hay. She was a member of First Lutheran Church where she was active in the Ladies Aide; and was also a 4-H Leader when her children were young. Blanche enjoyed going to church; and the fellowship of going out for dinner at Swans Café after church. She also enjoyed helping plan the LHS Class of 1949 reunions, wintering in Arizona, gardening, baking, going for walks, and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her sons John Allen of Mesa, AZ, Kirk (and Dorothy) Lundin of Litchfield, MN, Craig (and Debbie) Lundin of Litchfield, MN and Jeffrey (and Becky) Lundin of Litchfield, MN; grandchildren Andrew (and Abby) Zilch, Keith Lundin, Kimberly (and Jon) Kaarg, Crystal (and Justin) Wilson, and Jesse (Nicole) Lundin; seven great grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; brothers-in-law Dale (Floy) Dollerschell, Einar Lundin, and Karl (Darlene) Lundin; sister-in-law Janet Lundin; and several cousins, relatives and friends.
