Beverly 'Bev' Knutson

Beverly ""Bev"" J. Knutson, age 82, of Grove City, MN, died on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Grove City, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be held in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City. Beverly Jean Knutson, the daughter of Edward and Martha (Utke) Buttke, was born on February 5, 1932 in Enderlin, ND. She graduated from Grove City High School and also received her teaching degree at the University of St. Cloud. She was united in marriage to Donald Knutson at the First Lutheran Church in Grove City on June 5, 1953. Together they lived in Bloomington and Columbia Heights before moving to Olivia in 1971. Bev worked as a teacher in Columbia Heights and Litchfield before working side-by-side as a co-owner of Coast-to-Coast Hardware in Olivia with Don. They later moved to Eagle Lake in 1989 and to Grove City in 1994. In 2004, Bev moved to Blaine, where she has lived with her daughter Sharon. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and enjoyed cooking, reading, doing crossword puzzles, travelling in their motorhome, and entertaining family and friends. She is survived by her daughters; Mary Kay (Steven) Jansson of Barnes, WI and Sharon Knutson of Blaine, MN; 4 grandchildren, Kristin (Jeremy) Wilson of Pensacola, FL, Kyle (Anna) Jansson of Milwaukee, WI, Anna Knutson of Blaine, MN and Emily Knutson of Blaine, MN; and 4 great grandchildren, Brannon Wilson, Adelynne Wilson, Emma Jansson and Ben Jansson.
