Beverly Everts

Beverly F. Everts, age 77, of Litchfield, MN, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at her home surrounded by family. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, August 30th, at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lindhorst officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM on Sunday, August 29, 2010 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Interment will be in the Lake Ripley Cemetery, Litchfield, MN. Memorials are preferred in Bev's name to St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. Beverly Fayne Everts was born on January 18, 1933 in Oxford, Nebraska to Lawrence and Mildred (Gennrich) Lueking. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford. She grew up and received her education near Oxford graduating from Mascot High School. Bev met Bob while working at First National Bank in Holdridge. She was united in marriage to Robert Everts on August 23, 1953 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Oxford. This union was blessed with four daughters, Kim, Lisa, Cathy and Holly. Together they made their home in Davenport, Iowa before moving to Litchfield on February 1, 1956. Bev worked in several retail locations before becoming a bookkeeper for Langmo Farms. Bev was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, active with the Vesper and Altar Guild and she enjoyed singing in the church choir for many years. Bev liked to collect antiques and quilts and tend to her garden and flowers. She loved her home and family and she was a sweet and devoted wife, mother and friend. She is survived by her husband Robert, children; Kim (and Mark) Madden of Overland Park, KS, Lisa Everts of Dalbo, MN, Cathy (and Ted) Reynolds of Austin, TX and Holly (and Jim) Cottington of Litchfield, MN, grandchildren; Alissa (and Lee) Rieth, Joshua (and Ginny) Madden, Jake, Robbie, Matt and Joey Reynolds, Zack Schmidt, Levi and Anna Cottington, great grandchildren; Lucy and Owen Rieth, Tristan, Elijah and Liliana Madden, brother; Robert (and Sharon) Lueking of Oxford, NE, sisters; Anita (and James) Peterson of St. Paul, NE, Mary Allison of Paducah, KY, Linda (and John) Miller of Punta Gorda, FL, and Catherine (and Lester) Van Alstyne of Huntingdon, PA. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law James Allison.
