Bernadette Ann Peterson, the daughter of Leopold Victor and Bette Ann (Sovell) Vlaminck was born in Litchfield, MN on September 7, 1954. She was Baptized in Darwin in 1954 and Confirmed in Litchfield in 1966. Bernie graduated from Litchfield High School in 1972 and was united in marriage to Lee Peterson on September 10, 1977 at the Church of St. Philip in Litchfield. She was the kitchen manager at the Farmer’s Daughter from 1970 to 1988 and the cook at Wings from 2008 to 2016. She also worked alongside Lee at Peterson’s Furniture Service from 1988 to 2018. Bernie was a member of the Church of St. John where she was active in the finance council and the CCW. She was on bowling leagues for many years and enjoyed camping, cooking, gardening, reading, baking, playing cards and cribbage; and spending time with her grandchildren, family and friends.
Bernie is survived by her husband Lee Peterson of Darwin, MN; children Leah (Tom) Schroer of Litchfield, MN and Andrea (Ben) Meyer of Minnetonka; grandchildren Gabriel, Tyler, Adison and Adrianna; brothers and sisters Linda (Bob) Kmitch of Sartell, Pat Fluck of Atwater, MN and Jerry (Angie) Vlaminck; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo and Bette; granddaughter Lily Howard; and brother Robert “Butch” Vlaminck.
