Benjamin Jay Steinhofer, age 31 of Williston ND, passed away unexpectedly November 29, 2021. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021, from 12:00 to 3:00 PM at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral and Cremation Service in Litchfield, MN with a prayer service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Ben, the son of James and Pamela Steinhofer, was born May 8, 1990, in Glenwood, MN. He grew up in Glenwood and Litchfield. He played football as a Dragon and graduated from Litchfield Senior High School. Ben continued his education at Ridgewater College, earning an Associate’s degree as an electrician. He spent the majority of his adult life in Williston, ND. Ben worked as a heavy equipment operator and later at Williston Truck and Trailor in ND.
In his life, Ben accomplished many things. He took Fire Fighter training as well as First Aid and CPR training. In addition to his volunteer work, he loved spending time on his Harley and was associated with B.A.C.A. (Bikers Against Child Abuse).
Ben made friends wherever he went and was known by many for his kindness, big heart and love of music and country. He loved to play the drums and spent lots of time with friends and family. Ben was an incredible guy and he will be missed beyond measure.
Ben is survived by his grandparents Cindy and Wayne Goff of Hutchinson, MN; father James Steinhofer of Brooten, MN; mother Pamela Steinhofer of St. Cloud, MN; sister Holly (Chad) Freymiller of Stitzer, WI; brother Douglas Steinhofer of Litchfield, MN; niece and nephew Cadence and Conner; and many cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
Ben was preceded in death by his grandfather Clayton (Bud) Kettering and grandparents John and Gladys Steinhofer.
