Barbara Ruth Ann Kalkbrenner

Barbara ""Barb"" Kalkbrenner, age 72, of Litchfield, died peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, October 23, 2015. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, October 27th at the church and will continue one hour prior to the services. Interment will be in the Manannah Cemetery. Barbara Ruth Ann Donnay, the daughter of Nicholas and Frances (Schreifels)Donnay, was born on March 23, 1943 at the St. Cloud Hospital. She was baptized on April 14, 1943 and confirmed on November 3, 1956 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Watkins. Barbara was married to Clarence Kalkbrenner Jr. on June 27, 1962 in Litchfield. She worked at various jobs including Animal Fair, Garment Shop, and Litchfield Schools. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Eden Valley. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, embroidering, sewing, and quilting. She is survived by her husband Clarence Kalkbrenner Jr.; children, Randy (Kim) Kalkbrenner of Litchfield, Kellie (Brian) Rosenow of Grove City, Ricky (Amy) Kalkbrenner of Litchfield, Ronnie (Diane) Kalkbrenner of Litchfield, and Katie Kalkbrenner (Jake Hansen) of Cosmos; grandchildren, Rori Jones, Kyle (Janice), Kaleb, Kody, and Jake Kalkbrenner; Kirsten, Brennan, and Kayla Rosenow; Alex, Andrew, Riley, and Mason Kalkbrenner; Deb (Alex) O'Neill, Stacee Smith, Maxwell, and Samantha Kalkbrenner; great-grandchildren, Isaac, Silas, and Gordon Kalkbrenner and Liam O'Neill; her sisters, Evelyn (Richard) Decker, Ethel Hilsgen, MaryAnn (Roman) Stommes, her twin sister Betty (Harold) Kelm, and Theresa (Don) Hettwer, and sister-in-law Lucy Donnay, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marcus and Jerry, and grandson Brady Kalkbrenner.
