Audrey A. Carlson, age 78 , of Litchfield, MN died on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at the Cokato Manor in Cokato, MN. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the First Lutheran Church in Litchfield with Pastor Paul Lutter and Pastor Christa Forsythe officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, October 30th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the Stockholm Cemetery. Audrey Ann Carlson, the daughter of Oscar and Elin (Melin) Anderson, was born on August 18, 1933 in Hutchinson, MN. She grew up in the Stockholm area and graduated from the Cokato High School. Audrey worked in Minneapolis for a few years before she was united in marriage to Marlowe Carlson on January 6, 1953. She worked various jobs while making her home and helping on the farm. She continued her education at the Hutchinson Vocational Technical Center and became a Legal Secretary at the US Attorneys Office in Minneapolis, MN, retiring in 2000. Audrey was an active member of both the Stockholm Lutheran Church and the First Lutheran Church, where she was active in WELCA and Circles of Support. She was also a member of the Swedish Institute. Audrey enjoyed gardening, researching genealogy, cooking, baking, book clubs, and spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Lee (and Carolyn) Carlson of Owatonna, MN, Ann (and Jeff) Hicks of Anoka, MN, Anita Osterberg of Anoka, MN, Bruce (and Kate) Carlson of Duluth, MN and Andy Carlson of Litchfield, MN. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Muriel Peltz and Sandra Anderson both of Prior Lake, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Marlowe. Previous Events
