Arthur ""Art"" Norman Riebe

Arthur ""Art"" N. Riebe, age 61, of Forest City died on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the Ecumen Emmanuel Home in Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM on Sunday May 17, 2015, at the Forest City Threshers. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Threshers building. Arthur Norman Riebe, the son of Norman and Florence (Borchert) Riebe, was born on December 25, 1953, in Litchfield. He attended school in Litchfield graduating from Litchfield High School in 1972. He went to work at Custom Products where he met Linda Pautzke. They were married on July 12, 1974, at the Arndahl Lutheran Church south of Grove City. They lived in Litchfield and near Grove City before moving to rural Forest City. Art worked as a metal worker for various manufacturers in the Litchfield area. He belonged to the Forest City Threshers and enjoyed running in demo derbies. Art also enjoyed going to auctions, coin collecting, tinkering and fixing various things. Art loved spending time with his grandchildren and watching pro wrestling with his grandson Preston. He is survived by his wife, Linda Riebe of Forest City; children, James Riebe of Watkins, Emily Riebe of Grove City, Jeff Riebe of Forest City; grandchildren, Sydney Garfin, Preston Garfin and Sheila Riebe. He is also survived by his brother, Dale Riebe of Litchfield and sisters, Judy (Michael) Dent of Pennsylvania and Janet (and Dan) Joswiak of Foley, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman and Florence.
