Ann K. Dylla

Ann K. Dylla, age 90, of Litchfield, MN died on Sunday, January 6, 2013, at Ecumen Emmanuel Home, Litchfield, MN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013, at the Church of St. Philip. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church. Interment will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Litchfield, MN. Ann Katherine Dylla, the daughter of Felix and Clara (Poink) Breske, was born November 11, 1922 in Webster, South Dakota. She graduated from Webster, S.D. High School. She was united in marriage to Dominic Dylla on June 23, 1942 at St. Otto's Catholic Church in Webster, S.D. They had a farm near Andover, S.D. before moving to Litchfield, MN in 1958. The dairy farm was 4 miles north of Litchfield, where they raised twelve children, moving to a home on Lake Ripley in 1983. In 2003 Ann moved to a new home on Ripley Greens. Ann loved her life on the farm, taking care of the baby calves and the huge gardens. She was active in 4-H activities and the St. Philip's Church women's and quilting groups. She gave all her love and energy to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed the county fair, her card group and winning baking contests state wide. Ann is survived by her children, Kathleen (and LaMont) Wood of Minneapolis, MN, Betty (and Dean Schulke) Dylla of Minneapolis, MN, Janet (and Thomas) Northrop of Tucson, AZ, David (and Adele) Dylla of New Zealand, John (and Lynn) Dylla of Buffalo, MN, Cynthia (and James) Engle of Quitman, TX, Neil (and Linda) Dylla of Simms Long Island, Bahamas, Nancy (and Lamar Kirby) Thomas of San Marcos, CA, Jeff Dylla of Rochester, MN and Bruce (and Brenda) Dylla of Willmar, MN; 19 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; brother Tony Breske of Sherburn, MN; sisters, Phyllis (and Bob) Norris of Fort Collins, Colorado and Georgene (and Cecil) Hellyer of Milliken, Colorado.
