Ann C. Abramson

Ann Carol Abramson, age 82, formerly of Litchfield, passed away on October 9, 2022 in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. A visitation will be held from 9:00 AM - 10:00 AM with the funeral service following at 10:00 AM  at First Presbyterian Church.

Ann Carol Abramson was born March 22, 1940 to Frank Arthur Abramson and Beulah Abramson (Gudmunsen) in Heron Lake,  Minnesota. She was baptized on May 12, 1940 at Iona Presbyterian Church.

Ann grew up on the Abramson family farm while attending country school through the 6th grade and graduating from Slayton High School. After high school, Ann attended Northwest Institute of Medical Technology. She went on to work as a medical technologist at Aitkin Community Hospital for six years. A decision was made by Ann to go back to college to earn a degree  in Elementary Education. She first attended Worthington Community College then transferred to Mankato State College, where she graduated from with her Elementary Education degree.

With her Elementary Education degree, she had found her passion of teaching which lead her to work as an elementary school teacher for the Litchfield School District for 31 years. After a fulfilling career, Ann retired in 2001.

During her retirement, Ann was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church and served as an Elder and was an active Presbyterian worker. Outside of the church, you could find her gardening, or reading. She also had a love for knitting, bird watching, and camping.
