Anine Picard

Anine Picard, age 57, of Savannah, GA, formerly of Litchfield, MN, died on Wednesday, November 26, 2014 in Litchfield. A time of visitation will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Friday, November 28, 2014 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home in Litchfield, MN and a Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at the Bernie Aaker Auditorium in Litchfield, MN. Anine Picard, the daughter of Ole and Grete (Backer) Mørch, was born on April 30, 1957 in Oslo, Norway. She graduated from Eikeli Gymnas in Oslo, Norway and also the Ballet Institute before graduating from the St. Cloud State University. She was united in marriage to Jean Picard on March 5, 1982 in Oslo, Norway. Throughout her life, Anine lived in Norway, France, Minnesota and Georgia. She worked as a social worker for the nursing home in Watkins, Lake Ripley School in Litchfield, and in Savannah, GA. She shared her love and talent of dance throughout her life. She performed with the Minnesota Dance Theatre and for many years taught dance at Litchfield Community Education and Starz Academy in Savannah. Anine was also the choreographer for the Litchfield Community Theatre productions for many years. She was also a volunteer in the Refugee Program in Savannah. Anine is survived by her husband Jean of Savannah, GA; children Nathalie Picard and Keane Amdahl of Minneapolis, MN, Nina Picard of Minneapolis, MN, and Julian and Tiffany Picard of Litchfield, MN; father Ole Mørch of Oslo, Norway and her sister and brother-in-law Else and Ed Cowley of Litchfield, MN.
