Andrew 'Andy' C. Quinn, age 34, of Litchfield, MN died Saturday, March 24, 2012 at his home in Litchfield, MN surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 29, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Wednesday at Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be at Lake Ripley Cemetery in Litchfield. Andrew ""Andy"" Charles Quinn III was born on February 16, 1978. He grew up in the Litchfield community with his two sisters and found his niche playing hockey with the Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato hockey team. When Andy graduated from Litchfield High School in 1996, his uncanny ability to make lifelong friends followed him to Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. It was here that Andy became known as ""Grey Duck"" by his frat brothers of Pi Kappa Phi. In pursuit of his long term goal of farming, Andy became a proud Bison when he transferred to North Dakota State University. He graduated with a degree in Crop and Weed Sciences in 2000. Following college, Andy worked as a chemical representative for Syngenta before returning to his roots in 2005. Although Andy could have chosen many paths in life, he was fiercely determined to do what he knew and loved, and that was farming. Working the soil was who he was. While in college, Andy met and fell in love with Reagan Lorenz. He married his best friend and soul mate on February 4, 2005, in Dickinson, North Dakota. They made their home on the farm in rural Litchfield. Five years later, Andy and Reagan were blessed with a beautiful daughter. Sloan quickly became daddy's little girl, bringing out a tenderness that only a daughter can. Andy had a zest for life like no other. When he wasn't farming, he loved spending his time hunting the elusive white-tailed deer, playing softball and hockey. He was the secretary and on the board of directors of BENO Blue Line Club. His infectious smile and spirited personality drew others to him. For those fortunate enough to be called his friend, he was incredibly loyal. Andy loved hearing a good joke and telling one even more. But, what Andy loved most of all, without a doubt, was his family. On Saturday, Andy gave his bride one last dance at home and died peacefully surrounded by family at the age of 34. Andy is survived by his wife Reagan and daughter Sloan of Litchfield, MN; parents Ac and Jan Quinn of Litchfield, MN; sister Shannon Quinn (and Dan Froiland) of Marine on St. Croix, MN and sister Taryn (and James) Woods and niece Ellivia and nephew Grayson of Litchfield, MN. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Andrew and Jean Quinn.Previous Events
