Alvina M. Rohrbeck

Alvina M. Rohrbeck, age 89 of Darwin, MN, died on August 22, 2014 at the Darwin Lakeside Ranch. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, MN. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at the Forest City Cemetery, Forest City, MN. Alvina Margaret Rohrbeck, the daughter of Michael and Cecelia (Burley) Loch, was born on October 11, 1924 in Watkins, MN where she attended country school. She was united in marriage to Walter John Schwiering and was later married to Richard Raymond Rohrbeck. Alvina was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield. She was also active in the V.F.W. Auxiliary 2818 and the American Legion Post 104 Auxiliary. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening, reading, refinishing furniture, attending rodeo and threshing shows, going on picnics, antique shopping and traveling. She was not shy about sharing her opinion and will be remembered for her sense of humor and her generous personality. Alvina is survived by her children, Laura Lee Minks of Litchfield, MN, Richard Rohrbeck of Grove City, MN, Mike (and Paula) Rohrbeck of Litchfield, MN and Art (and Diane) Rorhbeck of Eden Valley, MN; brother Clifford (and Joan) Loch of Eden Valley, MN; and sister Victoria (and Glen) Wilhelm of Franklin, IN. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband Walter; her second husband Richard; son Ron; son-in-law Lawrence and daughter-in-law Arlys.
