Allan Larson

Allan Larson, age 82, of Litchfield died early Sunday Morning at the Emanuel home in Litchfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at the Beckville Lutheran Church near Litchfield with Pastor Margaret Cumings officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27th at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery in Grove City. Military Honors will be provided by the Litchfield Military Honor Guard. Allan Arlic Larson, the son of Victor and Gertrude (Levander) Larson, was born on December 4, 1927, in Union Grove Township, Meeker County. He attended District 38 country school north of Grove City. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He returned from service and drove truck for 41 years. Allan also worked for Custom Products and did janitorial and security work for the schools in Litchfield. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for Sunday drives. He liked to watch the weather channel and listen to old time music and polkas. Allan was more comfortable keeping to himself. He is survived by his children; Cheryl (and Jerry) Lundeen of Cokato, Larry Larson of Renville, Gale (and Kathy) Larson of Litchfield, Wanda (and Robert) Willner of Litchfield, Todd Hill aka Allan Larson Jr. of Florida, Charles (and Eileen) Larson of the country of Luxembourg, Tammy Saldivar of the Twin Cities, 16 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Gordon Larson of Hutchinson, and sisters; Eileen Paul of Hutchinson and Irene Booth of Garfield.
