Alice Mae Anderson

Alice M. Anderson, age 83, formerly of Litchfield died on Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at the Prairie Senior Cottage in Hutchinson. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the Johnson-Hagglund Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Westbrook Cemetery in Westbrook, Minnesota on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at 1:00 PM. Alice M. Anderson, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Gerdes) Lidtke, was born on July 28, 1932 in Westbrook, MN. She grew up in Westbrook and graduated from Westbrook High School in 1950. She continued her education at Mankato State College. She married Glenn Anderson in 1952. They moved to Tracy where Alice was very successful in Tupperware sales. They moved to Pipestone in 1962 and lived there until 1971 when they bought the Sears Catalog Store in Litchfield. She worked with Glenn in the store until they sold the store to their son Al in 1989 and retired. They enjoyed traveling and spending winters in Mesa, AZ. She was a member of the Eagles and Legion Auxiliary. Alice enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, traveling, golfing, playing cards and other social activities. She is survived by her children, Alan Anderson (and Tracey Lynn) of Litchfield, Glenda Anderson Kennard of Palmdale, CA, Greg (and Kelli) Anderson of Evergreen, CO; grandchildren, Emma (and Jody) Horn, Alexander Anderson, Andrew Anderson, James Kennard, Grace Anderson, and Benjamin Kennard; great grandchildren, Aidan and Riley Horn. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Glenn in 1995, three sisters Lola, Marie and Margaret and two brothers Flavious and Robert.
