Albert C. Weisser

Albert C. Weisser, 91 of Watkins, formerly of Clearwater Lake, MN and Elgin, IL, passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the Hilltop Care Center in Watkins. Memorial services will be Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 10:30 am at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins. Friends may call one hour prior to the services at the church on Saturday. Inurnment will be at the St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in St. Joseph. Arrangements are with the Ertl Funeral Home, Watkins. Albert C. Weisser was born on February 26, 1919 at Spring Hill, Minnesota. He was the son of Frank and Mary (Braun) Weisser. Albert married Marie Capser on September 3, 1945. They resided in Elgin, IL since 1969 where Albert was employed as a sales representative with Alpha-Laval Agri for 31 years, the last 10 years as a national service manager, retiring in 1983. Marie passed away in 1992 and Albert relocated to Clearwater Lake, MN in 1993 and moved to Watkins in 2007. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Watkins and was a member of the Knights of Columbus since 1945. His hobbies included fishing, dancing and playing cards and in his earlier years, Albert enjoyed golfing. Albert is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law, Mary Jo and Dan Johnson of Rockton, IL, Deborah and Tim Eternick of Elgin, IL; grandchildren and their spouses, Becky and Matt Poulsen of Rockton, IL, Katie and Chris Lacy of Sterling, IL; great grandchildren, A.J. Poulsen, Mikey Poulsen and Aiden Lacy; special friend, Gladys Grossinger of Watkins; sisters, Rose Savanen of Seymour, IN, Bridget Worms of New Munich, Lal Zimmer of Tucson, AZ, Lee Lengas of St. Cloud; many nieces and nephews. Albert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; a brother and sister in infancy; brother and sisters, Gilbert Weisser, Elnor DeWinter, Sr. Marie Weisser, Sally Hiemenz and Clara Ampe.
