Alan R. Jackson

Alan R. Jackson, age 57, of Litchfield, MN, died on Tuesday, November 26, 2013, in his home in Grove City, MN. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at the Litchfield United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Alan Ray Jackson, the son of Grant and Viola (Smoldt) Jackson, was born on June 11, 1956 in Litchfield, MN. He grew up on the family farm in Atwater and graduated from the Atwater High School in 1974. Alan was united in marriage to Mashell Oslund in Litchfield on May 15, 1982. He moved to Litchfield where he raised his family and recently moved to Grove City, MN. Alan drove beet truck and worked for Litzau Farm and Drainage and was later self employed. He was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family, camping and fishing in his spare time. He is survived by his wife Mashell Jackson of Litchfield, MN; children Lisa (and Tom) Metcalfe of Litchfield, MN, Katie (and Mark) Moore of Northfield, MN and Brad Jackson (and Ashely VonBerge) of Hutchinson, MN; 5 grandchildren, Alex, Carter, Hayden, Sydney and Aylah; brothers, Jack (and Kathy) Jackson of Cosmos, MN, Dennis (and Sandra) Jackson of Kasota, MN, Perry (and Jill) Jackson of Dassel, MN and Darrell Jackson (and JoAnn) of Cosmos, MN; sisters, Barb Kleinschmidt of Hector, MN, and Sharon (and Richard) Litzau of Atwater, MN; sisters-in-law Sandi Jackson of Lake Lillian, MN and Rhonda Oslund; brothers-in-law, Brian (and Stacie) Oslund and Jason (and Heidi) Oslund; and many nieces, nephews and other family members.
