Alan Brouwer

Alan 'Al' Gene Brouwer, the son of Harland and Rose (Knapper) Brouwer was born on November 19, 1946 in Willmar, MN. He graduated from Danube High School in 1964 and was united in marriage to Alvina Hoogheem at the Bethany Reformed Church in Clara City, MN on January 8, 1965. Al was the Oak Grove home delivery milk man in the Litchfield area for many years, until his retirement. He was a member of the Litchfield United Methodist Church and enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting, reading, and doing word finds and puzzles. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Alvina Brouwer of Litchfield, MN; mother, Rose Baker of Willmar, MN; children, Julie (and Todd) Stern of Grove City, MN, Mary (and Charles) Nething of Litchfield, MN, Jennifer (and Chris) Madsen of Darwin, MN and Melanie Rohrbeck of Litchfield, MN; 10 grandchildren, Michael (and Mindy) Nething, Michelle Bengtson, Tracy (and Carl) Denfeld, William Nething, Kevin Stern, Nicole Madsen, Alycia Rohrbeck, Justine Madsen, Dylan Madsen, and Shayna Rohrbeck; 7 great grandchildren, Alexia, Natalie, Austine, Madison, Carter, Carson, and Blake; brothers, Paul (and Colleen) Brouwer of Roseland, MN and Phil (and Bev) Brouwer of Inwood, Iowa; sister Kathy (and Harley) Boehm of Black River Falls, WI, 9 step-brothers and sisters; brothers-in-law Gordon (and Geneva) Grussing of Clara City, MN and Darrel (and Lori) Hoogheem of Marshall, MN; sister-in-law Lois Hoogheem of Maynard, MN; and nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Harland Brouwer; mother-in-law Jennie K.
